Day 340
We took a day trip to Salzburg!! Oh my goodness gracious, if I had to pick my top 5 favorite cities in the world I would absolutely and positively put Salzburg in there. This entire area of Austria is the most beautiful place I’ve ever had the privilege of seeing. While driving from country to country, we would frequently pass beautiful countrysides and lakes and I am going to have to go back to those.
We toured the city a little bit and then went on the official Sound of Music tour! It was really cool to see the places used for filming in the movies. I have pictures of them all in the full Salzburg album. My favorite was touring the lakes around Salzburg as we drove to the final location of the tour- the church where the von Trapps were married in the movie.
This picture is by a lake in the area called (I *think*) Fuschlsee. I wish my camera had been able to really capture the scenery. The water was a pristine turquoise blue and the mountain area was SO green. The person in the picture is my friend Anirudh (pronounced mostly like Annaroo)!
